Re: PMG- Dare to Share... promotion

Dongles are pretty common, but I too have always really disliked them. Though I certainly understand the need to protect software in this day in age. In fact, I'm finding myself learning some security techniques to use with my own games that I'm working on. That said, I have the philosophy of "keep ...

Re: PMG- Dare to Share... promotion

About this dongle thing , do you have to have one or can you install it normal and run the programe As I recall, yes you need a USB stick to place the license on. If your USB stick is larger than 128mb then you can even install messiah studio on it and have it totally mobile. Otherwise you just pla...

Re: PMG- Dare to Share... promotion

About the "dongle" thing. Yeah, you'll have to go out and buy a little USB memory stick if you don't have one. You could probably find one for a few bucks. I think the 2gig stick I purchased at Target a couple of years ago was only like $10. It's handy to have one of those anyway to transfer files. ...

Re: PMG- Dare to Share... promotion

I've had messiah studio for about a year and half now and really like it, but I too wish there was more "free" training. Joe and Billy put together some great paid training (and they deserve to be compensated for their hard work), but I think a paid system makes people a little more reluctant to sha...

Re: Unity Indie Free

Yeah, I'm really liking v3.1. I managed to get my hands on the Pro version. Beast lightmapping, Umbra occlusion culling, MonoDevelop (source-level debugging), deferred rendering, fmod audio with new filters, new tree creator, cloth simulation, improved asset libraries, Asset Store (inside of Unity, ...

Re: truespace to fbx

Awesome! I look forward to this Clinton. Right now I'm using Collada to get into Unity and have to reapply all of the textures. It would certainly be nice to have the textures import with the models. :)

Re: Good bye Emma..

This is surely a loss for the trueSpace family. He was definitely a great guy and loved to share his passion for 3d. He was kind enough to translate my first tutorial into German. I have fond memories of the trueSpace years and it chokes me up to have lost one of our family. We had good times togeth...

Re: HLSL shader

Parva would certainly be the guy to ask here, but I'll answer as best I can. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. To work in tS, I believe you would have to break the scripts up into smaller bricks that you would then link together to create each shader (texture, model, normal, etc.). So unfortunate...

Re: A request for your support for Buddy World

You can always count on my vote Paul. I hope that you get the funding! :) You should upload a video showing off some of your Buddy World renders. I bet you would get even more backing.
