Re: Forgetting Blender for TS

Blender has a long way to go before most Truespace oriented modelers can get behind using it. TS, on the other hand is well organized in some very important ways. I still prefer the model side over work space in terms of preference. Nice model btw.

Re: Cleaning up a non TS model using object union.

I think the boolean subtract will do it too with advantage of removing the cube in one step. Thx, I'll give it whirl. It works even better no editing is require; just remember which object to subtract LOL! I also love using other TS tools, like mesh collapse, split hierarchy, and decompose into obj...

Cleaning up a non TS model using object union.

I download a lot of 3d models that are of other model formats, but most if not all are heavily triangulated; TS primarily uses quads not triangles. One trick I learned quite a while back to clean up a model in the model side of TS is to add a cube to the scene, and use the object union tool to attac...

Re: About Clinton's Collada importer for TS?

One work around I found was a free X/OBJ exporter for Sketchup 2017. The X exporter wont load in Truespace but the OBJ option exports out of Sketchup well enough to import into the model side of TS beta 8. Thanks for your assist Clinton. Leroy. :bananahi:

About Clinton's Collada importer for TS?

What version of TS does the Collada importer work for? I have TS 7.6, 7.61 & 7.61 beta 8, but when I load a DAE file exported from Sketchup only a cube is imported. Are there issues with the importer itself? Thx, Leroy.

Re: upload file types

Awesome. I did something similar on my forum as well. I have other 3d application listed so I enabled as many file types as I could think of including Caligari types. Leroy.

The UDA link in the TS 7.61/6.6 help is sweet....

I'm pretty well versed in the overall use of TS, but I still find searching for help required reading on some of the less known modeling tools in Truespace. It's interesting to note that to date I have never found a better 3d model creation application then TS. I guess that's because I'm just a casu...

Customising the modelside of TS.

I've customized my toolbars for less clutter on TS by dragging and dropping frequently used tools into small little toolbars. That way I can minimize all main toolbars to keep the work space far more open. Can the work space side of TS be done the same way? Thx, Leroy.
