Re: Can i release gameSpace and trueSpace for illustrators ?

Sadly, fear of releasing copyrighted property is the big thing rather then being sued by the owner of the product itself and it's probably why it's what keeps most stuff from being released like old software or any other thing. I believe that as long as the releaser isn't actually selling the produc...

Re: Gosh, my forum portal has a lot of TS uploads.

Bummer, I was afraid something like this would happen when FreeForums.org was switched to Tapatalk as the forum owner. I'll try to figure it out and post a new link if it's possible? The uploads should still be be in the original posts, so people can still do a forum search to access the files for d...

Gosh, my forum portal has a lot of TS uploads.

It's been years since I started uploading stuff related to Truespace, BZII Combat Commander, and other stuff for software like Anim8or, Blender, and GMAX/MAX. The downloads are everything from images to plugins some of which were custom created by other users over the years including importers and e...

Can COB and SCN files be added to upload?

I was wondering if these file types could be added to the attachment function? I understand that the zip format is more preferred as most models and scenes are compromised usually of multiple things like 2d textures and such other related elements like python scripts. My models are typically X expor...

Good general tutorial on UV painting maps

Recently, I was trying to work in Paint.net with UV maps exported and using layers to paint the map. It was written for Photoshop, but seems to work well for other paint programs as well. Leroy. Link to site.

Re: Do material rectangles support alpha textures?

I have both Paint.net and Gimp and both show the alpha part as a checkered pattern on tga renders out of TS modelside. I see the same with png renders as well. Does TS modelside not export alpha textures? PS: I use the X exporter to get models to 3d Exploration for conversion to Softimage XSI versio...

Re: Do material rectangles support alpha textures?

Sure it does. I just made a quck test with a PNG texture file and it works. I still see the background image when I apply the texture to the rectangle on the model. You do know what I mean about showing only the part I want right? How did you process the alpha texture to set the transparency part? ...

Do material rectangles support alpha textures?

I was trying to apply decals to my models, but still only see the entire rectangle on the model. Does TS support images using the alpha channel to make part of the image transparent showing only non alpha decals? Thx, Leroy.
