Re: FT-1 Clipper

The Sky Whale absolutely grinds my gears. A lot of hype and publicity and no engineering rationale behind it Problem one. The demand for airliners is rising, by 2032 we need 25,000 more aircraft, that's not total, thats new aircraft. More than 2/3 of those are single aisle aircraft because of the ec...

Re: FT-1 Clipper

Yea we tried to push the front and top view as much as possible It's really the tail fin that makes it look fat, we were limited on length and needed it to be mounted as far behind the wing as possible for greatest effect so it lost some of that rearward sweep We can fit 200 passengers on a single d...

Re: 3D Artists Reporting Back

Hi guys I've been away for a while, thought I'd give an update: Started at Cranfield in September and rather swiftly got snowed under with work, because of external issues I ended up in declining health Put on mirtazapine and lost my medical to fly. That then changed to sertraline, forgotten to take...

Re: Trainer Jet WIP

Seen a test done in a similar sort of gondola on something called the Giraffe suit, featurers a whole heap of water filled capillaries running along a full body suit to increase pilot g tolerance. In the test this guy put it up to 9 G and sustained it for 30 seconds, then the test engineer took over...

Okay then. So let's look beyond that now, I can work on the proper aircraft form. So, here's what it looked like based on the results of the wing test http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/Weasle_01/finalfront2.png http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/Weasle_01/finalfront-1.png http://i72.photobu...

Re: Forest Mountain [Bryce]

Hey Darkmage Good work on the glider, it looks like a K-6E ...really does need the stabilizers though, needs them to fly unless you have a concorde shaped wing! With the IBL light you have some options, one is to load a projection image onto the light. If you choose that option and load the backgrou...
