Re: Hole into face?
It works but not like you'd expect. Try it on a double sided plane with 3 faces. Select the center plane, then click on the hole from plane tool. Next go to the back and click on the center plane..voila. you now have a plane with a hole in it. Now try it on a cube with res 3. On your chassis it tak...

Re: Hole into face?
OK, I will try that. Thanks.Draise wrote:In the WS you can use the "Heal Vertice" tool and that will fix that for you. Just pipe your geometry over the bridge, and viola!
But there is no way to fix this in the old model side?

Hole into face?
Hi I was trying to make a railroad bus (or what you call it in english) in Truespace but was forced to give up and try Blender instead. However, I am sure that it could be done in TS and it bugs me that I have problems so I decided to post my issue here to perhaps get an explanation. I had several w...

Re: Instance object?
Thank you, I will try it.Draise wrote:Ah yes, there is, it's called the Instantiator Script available here. This is only for the WS side, so UV unwrap still is not really an option - but you could try play around with it with the bridge and see how it fares!

Re: Instantiator script
Thank you. I will try it and hope it helps me. =)Draise wrote:Wow. I found this awesome script! I had to modify the install script as the button wouldn't install, but it now works like a charm! Nice one. Might come in handy.

Instance object?
Only a simple question - was there ever a way to make an instance of an object in any of the versions of Truespace? My question comes about the fact that UV unwrapping is hard. If I have two copies of an object I have to UV unwrap both. If you have a program that can make instances you only have to ...

Re: How to move on?
Hehe, I will try Carrara in the trial version to make my own mind up. Is there big differences between 8.0 and 8.5 in the modeling department?jamesmc wrote:
There are several free modeling software(s) out there including Blender, Wings3D and etc.
I have tried Wings3D and I didn't like that so much.

Re: How to move on?
I use Carrara and like it as it's almost like having an "easy button" with 3D software. It's render engine is quite nice. I was impressed initially on how well it did glass without any acrobatics. There are dozens of plug-ins, free and for purchase. Here's a list of free ones I like http:...

Re: How to move on?
I use trueSpace with a resolution of 2560x1440 Full screen. You need to use opengl, not directx for the principal Windows. But after you can open a new view with directx at the same time. TS can export obj without triangles, but it is possible that is your other software who create triangles when i...
