Re: Most Popular Software for 3D Printing
My work flow for printing is like this: 1) 2D in DraftSight (DassaultSystemes) if needed (then Export 2D polylines in Autocad ver.12 ascii-DXF) 2) Modeling in tSp (7.61beta8 with bridge: using modelside and some booleans in workside) 3) Create .stl with tSp 4) Import into Cura (for my Creality Ende...

Re: Most Popular Software for 3D Printing
Long time no post! I was just modelling and 3d printing from truespace 6.6 last night and today. I save as a .stl file to OneDrive and then download it from there into my 3d printer and print. I have a SeemeCNC Rostock Max v2 printer. It looks like they are on V4 now. https://www.seemecnc.com/collec...

Re: Exporting to .stp or .step
So far the FreeCAD link clintonman gave seems to be able to open and save the .iges file export from TS6.6. I have yet to give this file to my plastics shop to see if they can read it. I will let you know. Thanks!

Re: Opened it back up...
I can’t remember, is workspace side the same roughly as TS 6.6? I currently only use TS6.6.
Is TS7 more stable? I do have it from when I originally bought it, but i haven’t really used it in quite some time.

Re: Welcome Back
Nice new forum! Great job team. :bananathumb: . I have returned. :bananahi: I am still using Truespace exclusively and do not plan at this point to stop or try to learn another 3d program. Do we have a development request section for ideas to continue tweaking Truespace if that is possible still? iI...

Re: Exporting to .stp or .step
Clintonman! Thanks for the info. I will check it out.
I had hoped that the truespace underground had maybe tackled this .stp exporting in a new version! Has there been any new stuff in the last year or so I should be checking out?
Thanks again!

Exporting to .stp or .step
Long time no talk! I have been on a mystical journey into the world of product design and have won some grant money in 2 shark tank type contests in my area and will hopefully be starting a Kickstarter page in the next coming months. I have been using my truespace program exclusively for the design ...

Re: Background Color
Saul, Thanks!..I was all over it but never reclicked the "show background color / image" button to apply it the color. Once you do click it, you can drag your mouse around the color swatch to pic your desired color as it changes live in the background. I do believe the other suggestion wou...
