As a legacy frame it's starting to reach the end of its useful life, they're extending it by selling to civvies but before too long it'll become cost prohibitive AC-130s certainly are becoming obselete fast, not as a concept but as an airframe. Costume is for MCM expo

Started as a cosplay but that would just be me in my flight gear and that's dull so I'm seeing if I can scratch build a custom helmet and armour

I got to play as an actor for our air crash investigation course. Got to be a very unhelpful security guard

I've adopted the principle that if I can't manually manipulate the final mesh without too much hassle I've got too many polys

Seems to be working so far
Next up, though you caught a glimpse of it a second ago...the main wing (sans folding mechanism)

So, landing gear. Good design practice says the wheels on a tail dragger should be about 10-15deg in front of the centre of gravity, if wing mounted then in between the two main spars that run along it. Calcs also say that for a carrier-based aircraft of this weight the damping strut needs to depres...

Okidokey, onto the main wing. Much the same sort of routine as the tailplane. Split the mesh up, align the component axes and then added the noses of each element. The flaps need to extend both out and down so their rotation centre is actually below the wing skin, a couple of hinge models and fairin...
