Re: TWINMOTION is FREE

Regarding animation, I miss the fact that we can't even build simple movement like opening a door.

But things may change soon. See this video of one of the developers (and enjoy the frenchy accent) :

Re: TWINMOTION is FREE

Incredible they left this for free after the acquisition. Though I can imagine those who purchased it must feel kinda duped.. Kinda like what happened to Ts. I've met an architect yesterday who paid 3500 euros for the software last year (with additional libraries, training and stuff). She couldn't ...

Re: TWINMOTION is FREE

WHY SHOULD I USE TWINMOTION ? 1. Because it is FREE ! 2. Beause it is a real-time renderer that generates nice renders in seconds using Unreal render engine, and animations in minutes instead of hours ! 3. Because it bring a terrain generator ! 4. Because you can bring life to your scene with reali...

TWINMOTION is FREE

Earlier this year, Twinmotion was a professional tool for architects and designers, sold at around 1600 euros. Twinmotion was using the Unreal Engine. Epic Game has bought Twinmotion and this software is now given for free in Epic Games launcher. ZmwvKxc-D0A Use this thread to post your workflow, ti...

V-Ray speed and Modeler real-time rendering mode

I never realized that there is a relation between V-Ray rendering speed and the real-time acceleration mode in Modeler ! In my current setup (AMD graphic card and Catalyst driver version 13.12), OpenGL is fine to work with, while D3D often lead to memory issues. But V-Ray rendering is VERY slow on a...

Re: Looking for Notre-Dame of Paris

Notre Dame is VERY dark, so a stained glass ceiling may have supporters ; but I doubt the majority of people will like that. Most people just want the architecture to be rebuilt the same. At least the spire may be new, because Viollet-le-duc, the last achitect that made the design of the felt spire ...

Re: Looking for Notre-Dame of Paris

Thanks for the links. I am downloading Assassin's Creed :) Petitions have been launched in France this last week-end to restore the identical. That's the debate opposing tradition and innovation. For sure, crazy modern designs like this one will not help : https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4jj4jNX4AAvH4T...

Looking for Notre-Dame of Paris

I am joining a team of architects who wish to design a restoration proposal for the roof of Notre-Dame. At this early stage, I am looking for a free 3D model of the cathedral, to make a first render of our project and enter the architectural design competition. Of course, if we can pass the selectio...

Re: tSxView

Nice ! Thank you Stan.
I got used to Chikara"s FindCamera plugin which has 7 memory slots to save and retrieve perspective views ; but these slots are removed when you close tS.
Your plugin saves the views so we can reload them later. That's a good feature.

Re: Final trueSpace 7.61 Beta 8 Unofficial Update

Very interesting ! To render a VRay animation of moving objects, from Modeler, I need to keep a WS window open. Otherwise, trueSpace does not synchronizes and renders always the first frame. If the camera is moving, it works though, even if there is no WS window opened (probably because moving camer...
