Re: 'Interactive booleans', do they work? how?

Well it worked, albeit slow and sometimes it locks up like it is in an inf loop even on simple geometry, but other than those periodic issues, it works. Here are some screen shots of my [unfinished] device with the interactive boolean working: Hub12a.PNG Hub12b.PNG The extra detail provided on achie...

8. Press "down" to enter the hyrachy. Select the Bus and your keyboard Arrow keys Down and Right until the Cylinder is selected. Well that is something new, keyboard keys to enter the hierarchy... I was unaware of this hierarchy, is there a way to view this hierarchy? {just curious.} it looks as th...

Re: 'Interactive booleans', do they work? how?

It works like that if you want..look in the boolean panel..mode of operation :?: Obviously there is more to it than that as I have already tried changing these settings including the mode of operation to each setting and cannot seem to achieve this effect, so the cryptic nature of your response is ...

'Interactive booleans', do they work? how?

Does anyone know how to do the "interactive booleans" [or if they work] as mentioned with the picture of the double decker bus, here: http://www.caligari.com/Products/trueSpace/tS75/brochure/intro.asp where it states: "trueSpace7.6 features interactive booleans. These work like a history stack, allo...

Re: You got to be careful whom you trust !!!!

Somehow that reminds me of the movie "Dude, where's my car?" and the scene where each is asking the other what there tattoo says. Is anybody actually going to tell this big guy that his tattoo is shitty? He may never find out!

Re: BP Machine MMC Nov-Dec 2011

Steinie, ha ha! Given measurements I'll bet Jill really could do that. Actually, if I also had the specific equations used [as I think some of your gears are from the wood gear site that admittedly has flawed equations], then yes I could... But that is not really the point of this, is it? I would h...

Re: Environment, object, and grid dimension changes, how?

Actually, I was referring to the workspace side [sorry I did not specify that] as all of my work has been done in that and that is all I have any [albeit little] experience on. Your reference to grid snapping on the model side is helpful in certain ways, but this does not explain how I can scale ALL...

Environment, object, and grid dimension changes, how?

Currently my model dimensions seem to be in inches I would like to change the grid scale and convert/scale the dimensions of all my objects so that they are in cm or mm without changing their effective physical size. That is to say that if one of my objects currently show a dimension of 1 in the dis...
