@trueblue The nose of the ship could be a type of shield / deflector dish (like in Star Trek), perhaps a sensor array used by the AI that controls the ship or a warp-field emitter.

That's a very curious object. Is it a type of candle-holder? Perhaps a musical instrument of some type? Maybe a piece of farming equipment or a component of an alien spacecraft?
