Re: trueSpace 7.6x under Windows 10?

Thanks for the replies. I did try to rename the file default.cfg, let tS rebuild it. I did that but that did not help. I did do installs from the install files, not just copy over the trueSpace folder from my old PC. Draise, when you say, "Also install the unofficial updates. There is a Windows ui v...

trueSpace 7.6x under Windows 10?

I used to be a big time user of trueSpace. I first bought v4 and then kept up with updates as soon as Roman came out with them. Caligari for sure got a lot of my $$. But it was worth it. For me trueSpace was a perfect match for what I wanted to do. When I upgraded to Windows 7 I noticed my now tS 7....

Re: Let's drink a toast...

I know I seem late to the party here. I was a very dedicated trueSpace user since tS4 and always updated to a new version as soon as it came out. Like others in this thread I took it very personal when Roman sold Caligari to M$. I was never mad at him for it. Maybe business was down or barely gettin...

Re: trueSpace Training Courses and tS version

This is six years after the original post and the Caligari site is gone now. It is a shame, I was a huge fan Caligari, trueSpace and of Roman. I started with tS 4. trueSpace fit well with with what I wanted and my budget. It was very easy to use, easier than Blender. So when M$ bought Roman out then...

Lightworks

I have been wondering how can Microsoft be able to offer trueSpace with its Lightworks renderer for free. Does anybody know?

Re: About render the glass cup

Thanks that helped so much with the courses. I have played with Vray here off and on all day today while snowed in and had caustics working right away. The one file I never could get to work must have been something messed up in it because I could never get caustics to work. I changed everything and...

Re: About render the glass cup

A simple test of glass with hdri, caustic and Global illumination at the same time. Vray work well for me. I am like some others that are having problems with caustics now working at all. I tried to recreate Marcel's scene with the primitive spheres and the torus. I used hdri, GI and caustics on an...

Could Caligari/trueSpace come back from the dead?

Yes that is my question, could Caligari or an M$ version of trueSpace return as a commercial product again. I feel it could with a tS v8 that included support for DX11, GPU rendering and more improvements to physics and animation. I just want to know what others here think too.

Clothmotion plugin is more stable IMO.

Just curious as to where one can find the Clothmotion plugin?

Re: Discouraged, Discouraged

Ok; so, what in tS Workspace does not work in Windows 7? Do you have your Windows XP disc? Would it be worth installing XP on a separate hard drive, or on a separate partition, so you can have a dual boot system? Is it worth that effort, to use trueSpace on XP? Do you have a spare computer that you...
