My boss wanted trueSpace on his computer. It installed but did not run!
I checked the direct X and its was 9.0c but I think there is an issue with the graphics card. He is away at the moment, so I don’t know what he has under the hood of his computer.
The error message I got was:
Failure to create any D3D device (HAL or REF) 3D engine cannot continue on device without 3D acceleration
Code file \D3DRender\RsD3DWindowedThread.cpp
Codeline: 199
Windows error:126
What I am not sure about is whether this is a driver issue or the fact that his graphics card is just not up to the job.
Any pointers will be much appreciated. He can certainly afford a better card!
Thanks
PS
We even have a guy working in our group who is an imaging specialist (with PhD) and who writes custom 3D software for our advanced imaging techniques...so I am interested to see how he finds trueSpace...especially on the WorkSpace side...maybe we'll get another developer
