trueplay 2.0 highlight bug

Post by froo »

I thought this was resolved, or there was a workaround?
3dV has reported an issue with every object you hover over
getting highlighted, and a solution from Vladimir.
But I thought the solution was already implemented by someone.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

Does anyone remember if this has already been solved/implemented?

Thanks

I hope others who remained in Beta longer than I did (after February 3rd 2008) will chime in on this one, whatever code changes they made to truePlay were after my experiences there completely.

On a side note....

It occurred to me that since truePlay has many of it's startup settings dictated from xml files in it's startup directories, that perhaps altering an xml command there could be the solution, dunno... just a thought. If so though, a simple bat (batch) file offered to the community could make that alteration on demand after starting truePlay on each clientside installation.

Dunno :|

I imported the Desktop.RsObj from my truePlay2 's preobject folder into tS76.1 and noticed it is corrupted. I replaced this corrupted object with a current trueSpace7.61 version but it does not seem to load when opening truePlay2. This is the same procedure that I have used with trueSpace7 successfully. Not sure why it will not work in truePlay.

hmmm that is odd. try using the version which Stan uploaded here in the making cash with trueServe thread, that works fine for me in 7.61 using truePlay offline.

I dont have an object called "Desktop.RsObj" in my preobjects folder, I have one named "DesktopPreferences.RsObj" though, is that the one?

Yes I am going by memory as I did this sometime ago. I now see that Froo and Stan the Man created a solution. Yay!
