Had some free time so I am trying to remember some of the things I forgotten in blender (and learn some new things), by modeling this ship or what ever.
I export to 3ds file and import into carrara for rendering. When I finish I will then spend time trying to render final in blender.

Re: Relearning Blender
I probably should have titled this 'Playing With Blender' rather than 'Relearning Blender', because I have never really learned Blender.
Most of Blender is really easy to use after you learn and remember some basic short cuts.
Here is a updated progress rendering done in Blender using default blender render engine.
I may need to redo engines so there are more subdivision surfaces so that it is smother.

Re: Relearning Blender
Thought I would try some test rendering using cycles. Modeling in blender is pretty straight forward, but rendering and working
with the camera is not straight forward. Will need to view a lot of you tube videos to get a better working knowledge.
Just trying one basic color and camera set up before applying materials.
Not pleased with camera view yet.
Will cont. working on the model before doing any more renderings.

How did this go by without comments? This is great! I could see it in a sci fi action movie.

Re: Relearning Blender
You can use Blender without shortcuts pretty well too !Just isnt as fast to work with.......its like driving a car..
If you Know how to drive one you can use any car....!
