Mexican Bird of Paradise Flower
I'll attempt a Mexican Bird of Paradise flower. caesalpinia pulcherrima. I have Yellow Bird of Paradise plants in my yard. If I can't finish in time then I'll make a flower sculpture from the parts I have.

Working on this. The petals are difficult with their complicated edges.

Here it is so far. More parts to model. Modeled in Hexagon. Rendered in Daz with Iray.

Looking good.

Pertiful! Like the color spectrum on the petals, looks natural.

Thank you Mr. Clintonman. Thanks James. The texture is made from part of a photo. Thanks Draise. I'd like you to enter the challenge but I know you are doing 100 things now so understand if you don't. Steinie is doing something.
More participants! Theme is Flower Art so there's plenty of room for what you're good at so enter the challenge.
Due to lack of time I won't individualize the parts or add imperfections. Still needs green leaves, stems, and outer petals. I might not do the pistil. The stamina grow from a fuzzy thing in the middle. Not sure how to do fuzzy.
Also known as Red Bird of Paradise and Pride of Barbados.

A few more stems, unopened flower pods, then shading/texturing. Hexagon modeling. Iray render in Daz. 14 minutes. 450,000 polygons.
I hope to have a flower cluster as the main focus with another in the background and the green leaves placed to fill the background and work with depth of field. After rendering something good I might try another render with subsurface scattering for a translucent effect.

Over one million polygons. Depth of field. Now to arrange the leaves and do textures.
